Itinerary

Paddling on the water as the sun sets is an unforgettable experience as turtles head their way back up the Anahulu stream. Our location is a picturesque place to enjoy the sun setting, and there's no better place than on the water to enjoy it! And it only gets better after that! As the sun fades into the horizon, watch your board create a halo of light below you. The ocean floor lights up, creating a surreal feeling of walking on light and water. You may even see turtles and fish passing underneath! Depending on sky conditions, your experience may end with a stargaze upon the water, in one of the last remaining "dark areas" on earth. Come "wow" yourself with this nature-filled experience. START TIME: We begin 1 hour before sunset. Because the timing of sunset varies throughout the year, please contact us to confirm the time. It will begin sometime between 4:45pm and 6:15pm.

I'll be honest, I was just "meh" about doing this activity, but my adult daughter wanted to do it so I obliged. I'm so glad we went! I had never paddle boarded before, nor had she, so I wasn't sure what to expect. When I learned it was actually in the ocean I thought - um, no, but it was very smooth where we got into the water and we knelt until we got to the river and then stood as we went up the river. I was really feeling myself, pretty darn proud for standing up, got a little cocky, and tried it as we reentered the ocean and fell on my butt and into the water (there's always one in every group)! My daughter and I both loved the whole experience (minus the fall+butt=water); we saw green sea turtles and the trip up the river was so relaxing and beautiful. Our guides were great!

Enjoyed a Ko Olina glow paddle at sunset and it was great! Easier if each person has their own board. My teens stood, while I sat and paddled. Had a great time in the calm waters! Another great way to enjoy the water...

The guides were good teachers, thoughtful and supportive. Very fun experience! My wife was a little hesitant but had so much fun, guides were very helpful- I highly recommend!

It was an unique experience but not sure was worth $145. We were there right on the time and other two joining us were not. We as a group of 4 were led by the instructor but was not compensated extra time that we missed as other two were almost 30 mins late. Our trip ended after 1.5 hrs and I was disappointed as it was not our fault, we were there on the time. They promise to take pictures but she took two pictures in the water that were blurry. No pictures of standing and paddling. It is definitely unique experience with breathtaking view but there are sun set paddle boardings that you probably can do with $60 or so…

Oh my god!! Such an amazing time and our guide Megan was the BEST!!!!! Great instruction, great conversation, super fun person! We had no previous experience and she was able to get us on, upright, and we didn’t fall off either! Helped us see a wide variety of marine animals, took photos of us and a great video of a turtle, and made this an unforgettable experience! Megan is awesome!!!!!!

We definitely wanted to do some SUP while in Hawaii, especially for our first time! I did a quick google search and found the Viator site which had Rainbow WaterSports listed on it. I saw the GLOW SUP at twilight and said "hell yeah" how could we not do this!? It had great reviews and cool pics, so we signed up. They kept in contact with us prior to our reservation and were even nice enough to help us find them if we had any issues. The drive from Waikiki to North Shore was beautiful (a bit traffic-y, but it could've been worse). Our instructors were awesome and very friendly! You even get to hang out with Thor (you'll know when you see him). This is a great way to enjoy the North Shore's beautiful sunset, turtles, tranquility, and amazing nighttime sky. If you're new to SUP this is definitely the way to go for your first time out!

I was initially skeptical of this tour but it turned out fantastic. I'm not a good or really even passable paddle boarder. The lesson part on the beach actually helped out quite a bit once we got on the water. I ended up standing over 90% of the time. Megan and Zoe were great and very informative with the right blend of teacher, guide and hippy chick cool. We saw quite a few sea turtles and when the sun went down and we turned on the light it was a really cool effect. If you are on the fence, do it. The only way we could have made it better was to wear water shows as its a little rocky on the beach area where you launch and get out. We all managed fine but just a pro tip for you.
