This weekend we visited Roanoke with friends. We had planned this tour as an event to see and experience Roanoke. It FAR exceeded our expectations! Our tour guide, Ned Salvage was outstanding! A great personality, interpreter and ambassador of Roanoke and all it encompasses! The food was amazing on the tour, and the town itself is great! We couldn't have asked for anything better!

We had a wonderful time on the Food and Cultural Tour. I took my 85 year old Mom who grew up in Roanoke and has lived nearby all of her life. Our tour guide, Ned, gave a really interesting review of Roanoke's history - some of which were vaguely familiar to her and some of which filled in some missing gaps. In both cases, it was fascinating to learn about so many things I'd heard in the stories of my parents and grandparents... the N&W shops, the Viscos factory, the Ritz Hotel, the flood of '85. I could go on and on. The tour would certainly be a nice introduction to people visiting the Roanoke area, but I'd highly recommend it to anyone who grew up in the area - to either learn more about your heritage or as a lovely way to reminisce. Oh, and the food.... fabulous!!! We found at least 3 restaurants we intend to visit again!

We had so much fun on the Roanoke Downtown Food and Cultural Tour! Learned a lot of history, tried great food and enjoyed walking downtown Roanoke. Ned was an outstanding tour guide and our group was great. A must do!

We had a wonderful time on our food tour. Our guide was informative and entertaining, and the food was fabulous. We have been on multiple food tours in several cities, and this was one of the better ones! I highly recommend this tour.

This tour was so much fun and so informative. Ned was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the history and food. Larry was a great guide as well- and they were patient with our large group of friends. The food we had was wonderful! A must do if you’re in Roanoke.

Our tour guide Larry was really great. He was very patient and informative. We learned alot of history about the city all while enjoying some good food. Our tour wrapped up with a rooftop view of all the places we visited along with coupons for future visits. Highly recommended you will not be disappointed

Finally did a tour like this after living here for 22 years and it was delightful! Tried restaurants I had not eaten at before and learned about the history of Roanoke in detail I had never heard before! The walk was very pleasant and a nice break in between the food stops. Well worth it and I would recommend to everyone!

the walking food tour was so much more than that. ned was our guide and he had so many stories to tell. we felt as if we really got a taste (no pun intended) of Roanoke. so much so that we want to return.

Our group of 4 adults took the Roanoke Downtown Food and Cultural tour on a Saturday. Met at 11 am and proceeded to eat and walk our way around town. Our guide, Ami, was very knowledgeable and fun. We ate 7 different restaurants/shops and enjoyed every single one of them. Highly recommend! And the front end team took great care in accommodating my unusual allergy. Thank you!
